Description

Activity: artist

Valeri Meladze was born in the Georgian city of Batumi. He grew up surrounded by music: he studied piano from childhood and spent his student years at the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute, where he became the lead singer of the institute's VIA "April." It was then that he formed a creative partnership with his brother Konstantin: he wrote the music and lyrics, while Valeri performed.

In 1989, the Meladze brothers joined the popular Soviet group "Dialogue" under the direction of Kim Breitburg. They recorded the albums "In the Middle of the World" (1991) and "Autumn Cry of the Hawk" (1993) together. In 1993, Valery made his solo debut at the Kyiv festival "Roksolana."

He achieved real fame in 1994 with the hit "Don't Disturb My Soul, Violin" — the song soared to the top of the charts, and the singer himself was named "Discovery of the Year." Alla Pugacheva invited him to participate in her "Christmas Meetings" — this marked his entry onto the major Russian stage.

A collaboration with the group "VIA Gra" occupies a special place in the singer's career: the duets "Okean i Tri Reki" (Ocean and Three Rivers) and "Prityazhenya No Longer Exists" became some of the most widely quoted hits of the 2000s. From 2004 to 2006, Valery Meladze was named Best Performer of the Year three times by the Muz-TV National Music Awards.

Meladze's signature songs include "Sera," "Actress," "Beautiful," "Samba of the White Butterfly," "Freedom or Sweet Captivity," "Heaven," and "How Beautiful You Are Today." Konstantin Meladze is the author of all of his songs — the union of two brothers remains a unique phenomenon in Russian pop music.

The singer is touring Europe and the CIS. After a successful anniversary tour, he returns to the stage with an updated program — new arrangements of hits, fresh tracks, and a consistently high level of live performance. The bill includes Warsaw, Yerevan, and other cities.

Meladze's concerts traditionally draw full houses: his lively, broad voice, captivating lyrics, and stage presence make each performance an event. You can buy tickets for Valery Meladze's concert in Yerevan on our website.
